NJ Protects Children from Vaccines ~ Preserves Religious Exemptions
If you look closely, the monument reads "VICTORY"! Hi, I'm Sallie Elkordy from NYC. I went to NJ to stand in SOLIDARITY with the Parents there as they have come to NYC to STAND with us. People traveled from much farther away to be with these NJ Child Survival Advocates and it was an overwhelming experience participating in this VICTORY for New Jersey's kids and families. They indeed KILLED THE BILL proposed to take away their religious exemptions from vaccination (which, had they not prevailed would have meant their children would have had to have been vaccinated in order to attend school). It was a magical experience and the love exuded by the parents was demonstrable as everyone was hugging and kissing when the bill was killed. No high fives, real embraces!
